I am finding that with each visit to this site something new is learnt. It is interesting that you state all stamps displayed here are presumed to be forgeries. Is there an expert out there who may be able to give a definitive opinion on their bone fides or not.

Brian, Russian Civil War stamps (especially those with overprints) are full of counterfeits and forgeries. In fact I think that there are more forgeries out there than genuine stamps and some of them are quite good. Therefore, I take the view that unless I have validated that a stamp is genuine I just presume it to be a forgery. I haven’t taken the time to do the deep research on these issues, nor have I had an expert look at them, so I just use a blanket disclaimer. To find an expert, I would contact the Rossica Society of Philately.
