  1. I am having trouble with Cameroun. Did you mean to put French Mandate of Cameroun where you currently have British Occupation of Cameroon 1921 – 1961? If not, where is the French entity of Cameroun?

      Hi Sheryll
      Great Question
Originally, the country was a German Colony (Kamerun), but during WW1, the colony was taken over and occupied by the French and the British. After the war, Cameroun was split and mandated to France (Cameroun) and Great Britain (Cameroons) by the League of Nations (it is covered in the Treaty of Versailles.)

Since this is a British Nigeria Transition Chart, I only cover the British half, as it was administered by the British from Nigeria (although it remained separate from the British Colony due to the mandate). The French mandate will be covered in a French Equatorial Africa Transition Chart, which hasn’t been made yet. I hope this helps. By the way, your comment made me realize that I called the mandate an occupation. To make it clearer, I have labeled the Mandate appropriately.
      Thank you again
      Michael
