Just a bit of info for your timeline :-
With the dissolution of the federation, the three colonies were again separated. Northern Rhodesia became independent as Zambia in 1964, and in 1965, Southern Rhodesia assumed the name Rhodesia and declared its independence from Great Britain. Rhodesia became Zimbabwe Rhodesia on 1 June 1979 to 12 December 1979 and was briefly followed by the re-established British colony of Southern Rhodesia, which according to British constitutional theory had remained the proper government after Unilateral Declaration of Independence (UDI) in 1965. About three months later, the re-established colony of Southern Rhodesia was granted internationally recognised independence as the Republic of Zimbabwe on 18 April, 1980.

So for 3 to 4 months Zimbabe Rhodesia became Southern Rhodesia from 13 December 1979 to 17 April 1980. before finally becoming Zimbabwe.
